Unfortunately, I think liveleak is agitprop in this case. The "sources close to x" is a give away in 99% of articles.
Operation SERF, by Chris Sullins is a interesting bit of speculative fiction. It coincidentally, I hope, is set in Michigan for one of the main plot threads.
